Question about SAGER laptop battery ( From internet ):
Is it better to buy a new SAGER battery or a new SAGER laptop if the battery won't hold any charge?
Replacement SAGER batteries are available at prices that seem to me to be reasonable. I have bought them. (You don’t have to go back to the brand of your computer!)
A laptop with a short lived battery is still useful as a mains powered computer, with a brief UPS!
Compare the costs and your needs. If the laptop and battery are the same age and by no stretch of the imagination ‘new’ then a new laptop will have advantages. But it will likely be more than ten times the price of a new battery. However, a new laptop may not be a luxury! If you only have one computer an old one is very useful as a second screen or as an emergency backup. One can only fix or discover how to fix a computer with another computer. Every user who depends on their computer needs to have two! An old one can save you a lot of time and expense.
If you were considering an upgrade a failing battery may prod you to into doing it now. Keep the old device. If you were not and don’t need to upgrade, yet, a new battery is an economic solution if short battery life is a problem for you.
