Is it better to buy a new SIEMENS battery or a new SIEMENS laptop if the battery won't hold any charge?
Replacement SIEMENS batteries are available at prices that seem to me to be reasonable. I have bought them. (You don’t have to go back to the brand of your computer!)

Compare the costs and your needs. If the laptop and battery are the same age and by no stretch of the imagination ‘new’ then a new laptop will have advantages. Every user who depends on their computer needs to have two! An old one can save you a lot of time and expense.
If you were considering an upgrade a failing battery may prod you to into doing it now. Keep the old device. If you were not and don’t need to upgrade, yet, a new battery is an economic solution if short battery life is a problem for you.
